Scott Terebush (b. 1997) in Princeton, New Jersey, is an artist and designer working between New York City and New Jersey. Terebush’s work is deeply rooted in his lived and personal experiences, often addressing mental health. His studio practice revolves around process-based paintings that layer color to convey a sense of energy and intensity that reflects the complexity of the human experience. In Terebush’s view, the canvas is a mirror, reflecting not only the emotions and experiences of the artist but also those of the viewer. His work is designed to provoke thought and introspection, encouraging viewers to engage with their own emotions and experiences. He earned a BFA from Stockton University in 2019. Terebush is also a designer, focused in packaging, branding, and product marketing. He has won National Design and Packaging Design Awards from Graphic Design USA, individually and collaboratively. These designs have gained recognition for their innovation, printing processes, structure, and impact on shelves nationwide. Terebush is working toward a future where he can blur the line between his strategic approach to design with the expressive power of contemporary art, in order to create solutions that are both functional and emotionally resonant.
